Jamie's Mission to Czech

Hi Friends!!

I want to take this opportunity to share with you the exciting ministry opportunity that God has presented to me. This will hopefully not only be life changing for the people I come in contact with, but for myself as well. I will be leaving to the Czech Republic for 18 days in July (yes i know, my clients are going to kill me!!) and will be ministering to high school students in need of God's love. After a 3-day intensive missionary training in Prague, we will be staying in the community of Vsetin. Vsetin is a community 3 hours northeast of Prague, just to give you a general idea of where we will be (please read the "WHO I'M TRAVELING WITH" tab for details)!

While God has opened up a door for me to develop a greater heart of compassion for His people, a very important part of this process is for of all you to support me in several ways. First, you can help pray for me and the rest of the team. We will need prayers that God will prepare us mentally and physically for our visit and bless our efforts as we do God's will as He sees fit in a land foreign to us. As i have never done anything even remotely close to this, you can imagine that i'm a bit nervous (but extremely excited) so your prayers are sooo important! We will also need prayers that our financial needs will be met.

Another way you can be involved is to help provide that financial support.  At this time I need to raise $2100 for this trip. I would be so appreciative if you could make any sized donation in support of my ministry. Please make donations directly through this site or if you see me in person (whichever is most convenient for you) if you feel lead to do so. I thank you in advance for any assistance!! :) Whether you feel lead to contribute financially, through prayer, or both, all of your support is so very much appreciated. If you want to write me any encouraging letters / emails (anything that can be taken with me on my trip) PLEASE feel free, I would love that!!

***As most of you know, I'm not the kind of person that would normally ask for money under any circumstances; but in this situation I've been educated in the fact that this is part of the humbling process, the missionary experience and we're called to rely on others for financial support (so of course, i feel the need to clarify)!

I can't wait to be out there doing God's work and i look forward to telling you all about it when i get home. I know I'll have some amazing stories to share!!

God Bless,

Jamie Cannon

P.S. Please forward this site to ANYONE you think I may have missed or anyone that you think would be interested in supporting my cause :) Thanks!!

Matt 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
